Description
I open my eyes and see a neighborhood so different from anything Iāve ever experienced...I see old buildings, I sense their distinguished, subtle aroma fading away in the refreshing air, tender flowers and blossoms leaning down from tiny, slender balconies in an effort to touch me. A river whispering to me stories while dancing softly through the narrow
canal, dancing careless through time. A sky creating luxuriant colorful paintings...a world that embraces me...a world offering to become part of me...
And as I wake up from my childish dreams I violently confront my current reality. I find myself once more surrounded by enormous, terrifying buildings that steal away from me the sun. Weak, sorrowful trees desperately struggling to survive in the suffocative polluted atmosphere, buried amongst monstrous cars and an inhuman crowd...
I came to realize that all this beauty was merely a brief dream of another neighborhood, another reality, another vision from the past...
My first artwork made completely in Painter, trying out some brushes, adding some textures to the walls for making old, etc...hope you like it

Your palette is pushed enough that it adds a fantastic elelment to the piece. One thing thats holding this piece back a bit is the way your light and shadow sides almost make each side of the image feel like they belong in two seperate paintings. Adding a bit of blue in the shadows of the left buildings will make the piece feel a bit more cohesive.
Great job
